Morning lads, hope everyone is well.

So I've always stuck to OE for Air filters, last year I bought a set of K and Ns for my RS4.

Motor is due a service this coming Monday and I was going to whip out the filters and clean them.

I see that the K and N Cleaning kit C/W either squeeze bottle for the oil or Aerosol, which option is best/easiest to apply ?

I had thought the kit was the kit not realising theres a choice to be made with regard to applying the oil.

i use the pump bottle for the cleaner ad squeezey bottle for the filter oil, it's more precise, less wastefull as all you need is a trial along each hunp+trough, it makes it's way into the fabric

Thanks Alex, Scooby. I'll do that then. Think prices are similar anyways..

Wonder how dirty they will be after 13 months in.

Cheers Alex, Scooby. I'll jump on and get some ordered up, I'm thinking also there's a small pack and a larger one due to the variance in prices.

I'll see what's what

Thats a bit weird, that 1st post never appeared so thought I'd type out another. From what I can make out the kit only comes in one size, the price variances are considerable, Halford is super cheap but are OOS, next was Euro Car Parts at £13.73 which is where I bought the filters last year. Lot of resellers punting this at £20 odd plus which had me thinking that there are two pack sizes, but a quick scan it doesn't appear so.

Anyhow £13 quid is fine by me.

Side issue.. My car is Due an interim service, O and F and a set of Plugs £475.00.. I can buy the correct plugs and Castrol LL 5/30 Oil and Audi Filter for under £200.00 from Opie.. grimace !.. Thats the price of keeping my book solid Audi, but really did have me considering dropping it in to the local garage for the O and F, the 8 plugs are a bit of a faff but under an hour to change is my estimation..

This year alone I'm out:
1. £1000.00- 4 count Michelin PS4. 2. Steering rack £3150.00 3. Three suspension arms, ball joint, realign radar and wheel alignment £983.00 now this.. if your up for owning an RS you better have deeeeep pockets lol.

But it's worth it! I swapped a B14.5 rs 4, for a GLC63 Merc a couple of years ago. I'd say the Audi was economical compared to the Merc!

I thought they didn't look too bad until closer inspection. Good idea to give both a good thump against a solid object before spraying on the cleaner, I left them for around 1 hour after a liberal coating. They look miles better now, have to leave them overnight to dry.
