Just a quick update about the above. My mate, the 'Blade owner, 'phoned me the other day to tell me that they have written off both bikes!! What, after buying these bikes, spending a small fortune getting them just how they want 'em, they've got to start all over again, just because some dimwit can't keep her car between the dotted lines marking out the road. She must have been doing something other than just driving, to have distracted her! A witness had told us that he was following closely behind her before the crash and had observed her car swerving to the left a couple of times for no obvious reason. We thought it was a case of drink driving, that's why we contacted the police. Anyway the police checked her out and said she wasn't drink driving. They took her 'phone and presumably checked it to see if she had been using it while driving, though I don't know how they did that?? The fact remains that inexplicably she crashed into two parked bikes with enough force to write 'em off. Something not right here.....

Sounds very much as though the driver was distracted and I'd wager the mobile phone was the reason. Surely the driver would be done for driving without due care?
