Thanks for that Stu, Red/Grey 900R was my first 'Superbike', a big step up from the 350LC I had before! I kept it for a year then spent 50% of my annual salary on a new one of these (apologies for the dodgy pic quality - note 'period' bleached jeans & Reeboks!):

ZXR 750.. great machine..almost bought one in Feb 93... was that or a RTW holiday. Took the holiday route that November..

Interesting read, amazing how quick they progressed in the 80s and early 90s! Afraid I'm not old enough to of been aware of them when they were getting built. Although I do remember drooling over the mcn when the fireblade was launched, even though I was only 9!!!!
