Hi,

Just moved on from my Daytona 675 to a 2011 S1000rr. Got it around a month ago, and put on about 1000 miles. Mostly do weekend blasts and track-days, but should get up and do the NC500 on it at some point this year. Based in Edinburgh.

Nice looking bike and lovely scenery you have up there.

Welcome

Welcome to the site Kettles, where were the photos taken? Spoilt for choice where you are, Moffat one way, Perthshire and the West coast only up the road, awesome bike to go exploring.

Welcome to the forum my friend, am glad to hear you're enjoying the bike!

I went from a Daytona 675 before buying a SThou too, would be great to hear your ownership experience/review in future :)

Photos were taken on the Sma' Glen road last weekend, between Crieff and Dunkeld. Stunning road, some good twisties combined with great scenery.

So far the 1000 is feeling much more planted than the 675. The 675 used to move underneath me so much, and shake it's head now and again. The 1000 is much more comfortable, I just need to get used to the force from acceleration and braking, it's currently making my corner speed much slower! Got a new rear tyre fitted at the weekend though, which should help make me a bit smoother :)

I'll keep a look out for you Kettles, often about the Sma' Glen usually from Aberfeldy back to Crieff after a blast out to the Welly.

Had a close one with a massive Stag there last year, how big are they when they stand in front of you? Nearly pee'd ma pants. Lol
