Hi Newbie born again biker about to join the dark side.
Having spent last 7 yrs with a gixxer 600 about to pick up first litre bike at the w/e: a clean 2013 s1000rr.
Have been lurking around the forum while deciding what bike to buy.
Looks like a nice place & will likely pay subscription to support the site.

I know from other bike/car forums that it takes a lot of effort from admin team to build a good forum.

Ps never been on Bookface & hope never to be. Long live the forums!!!!!! ******

welcome mate , I had a gixxer 600 and 750 before this you won't regret the jump , what colour did you get?

Welcome.

Completely agree with supporting the site - I registered almost immediately to support the site.
Lots of very knowledgeable people on the site. Lots from your neck of the woods as well I think.

I do like tablet if that makes me an honorary Scotsman (I always think of tablet as Scottish - dunno if it really is)?

Rgds

Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on the new bike :). Do you ride road/track/both?

Hi neebor, you've got yourself one of the rarest S1000rr around. The colour scheme is really rare and sought after.
Furry boots you fi?

Welcome to the site, well worth the subs.

Welcome bud, I've not long joined as I've came over from having Gsxr's and just got an Hp4 trackbike.
My mates call me 'The Flying Scotsman' also but I'm wondering if that's to do with having a few crashes last year, with one spectacularly flying across Murray's and fractured my pelvis following brake failure lol
Can't wait for better weather to test the bike out

Cheers @BrucieB. Had first proper ride on the S1k today. Chalk & cheese compared to the gixxer 600! Looking forward to more road testing. The heated grips were great today, who would have thought on a sports bike,

Hope you made a good recovery from your "flying" !!

Hi mate welcome.. where abouts you from. Im Dumbarton..

Hi Stuart. I'm originally from Ayrshire, but now living in exile doon south. Looking at some of the Scotland pics, Loch Lomand, Glen Coe etc on here is making me want to do a trip home this spring/summer.
