Hi my name is Darren. I am from West Yorkshire and have just bought a 2013 HP4.I still have a 1998 R1 and a 2007 ZX10. The ZX10 will be going soon as I don't need it anymore. I plan to use the HP4 for mainly track days and have already booked one in Jerez and one in Cartagena. So far I have only ridden the bike home so I have no idea how good it is. Hopefully I am going to like it.
I have had a quick read on the forum and it looks like a de-cat maybe a good upgrade so I may buy a link pipe and see how that goes. Does anybody recommend any upgrades or am I good to go ?
 
Hi Darren, welcome aboard. still yet to give mine a proper go either but the 200 wet miles so far have help quench my thirst.

There are plenty of people on here who have the advice you're looking for but im afraid im not one yet.

Welcome to the site, I have a 2013 HP4 Carbon in the very rare red colour! I have decatted my original link pipe and fitted a larger screen, all other changes are purely cosmetic.
You will find out just how good it is. Good intro.

Hi Darren,

Welcome along, I too have a '13 HP4 but in black currently at AJ having some work done on it.

Regarding upgrades, the de-cat is a good thing to get done, saves a lot of weight for starters.

If you are doing serious tracktime then a 2d front fork sensor will allow you to differentiate comp and rebound on the front.

The isn't much else to do, unless you want to for the sake of it :) . Enjoy, cracking bike and fantastic on the track.
