Can you not just buy a lead to connect to a normal code reader ? where is the plug on bike ? What conector is it ? If it was me I'd just buy one and charge a few quid to folk if they want it done. Vinnie
 
It is under the passenger seat next to the riders seat. It some strange connector I ve never seen before and apparently this is the only tool you can buy to do it.

If you can afford a S1rr you can afford this :)
 
BMW uses a CANBUS connector, and when using the mobile software to read/clear fault codes it's unlimited. Only the desktop software, and the higher features are limited to 10 VINS on the Enthusiast version.

Saved a visit to the dealers (and lots of head scratching) when it came to rebuilding my bike. :)
