Had the RS booked in for front, rear diff and box oil changes, this is an intermediate service and is crucial on these cars.

Decided to whip off the air box covers and lift out the cabin filter just to have a look at the condition, kind of glad I did.. the condensate/moisture element on both were almost fully detached from the paper.. a pair of OE was around ?160.00, so decided to pick up a pair of K and Ns for ?120.00, Audi kindly fitted them FOC..which was decent on an otherwise expensive day..

My thinking exactly, this thing gulps air, the filters had only been changed once since new due to the low mileage when I bought it, the service intervals only included one change. I immediately fired it in for health check and Oil Change.

I'd need to check the history but I'd guess they were installed circa 2016/17.. you don't get a service book for record keeping, everything is on Audi's system which is a total pain in the arse.. shouldn't have a problem hoovering in air now mind you lol..
