Gen 3 jumps out of 1st gear on down shift assist.

Happy new year all. Has anyone had their gin 3 jumping out of 1st after shifting down? Happened to me for the first time today. Nearly lost balance on a slippery roundabout because of it and then I made it do it twice more on the way home. I have read I should reset the gear assist by disconnecting the battery and riding it each gear for 10 secs using the clutch. Any advise would be much appreciated . Chain tension and clutch play are good.

It used to happen on my 15 model frequently until BMW released a software update back in 2015.
Since then, it has only happened on ?very? rare occasions.

As this has happened a few times today, I would check your chain tension is in spec and do a reset as you describe

Did the reset and it seems to of worked on the couple of 10-15 mile chilly rides I did today.
