Exhaust options that pass restrictive noise tests such as Brands Hatch?

Can anyone tell me some exhaust options that definitely pass the Brands Hatch GP circuits 101dB noise test? I want to put a better looking exhaust on the bike and I like the stubby ones but I've already got another silly loud bike that would fail the noise tests so would like an alternative that gets on to the GP track?

The easiest options are the Akro slip-ons and systems. My '12 with Ti system managed 96db at Snetterton with the db killer in place. No cats.
The options for the '15+ seem to be similar.

The other good option is the AR full system. They too, with all the inserts, can net 96db at 6000rpm.

Thanks Alex, I didn't expect those to be so quiet. Silly question I'm sure; but they do sound as good as the stock system yes?

I don't have a 2015 to test. But from my experience with the Akro System they sound meatier throughout the rev range without being painfully loud.

Akrapovič

The Akrapovič HP slip-on, with optional baffle fitted, will easily pass static and drive-by noise testing at the more restrictive circuits and is a very good option. For reference mine generally measured 97.4 dB when static noise tested throughout last season.

Is that the one in your sig picture? Are there any short cans that also pass the noise tests?

None as far as I know. With great power comes great big end cans. I'm sure Akro would have persisted with the previous models shorty slip-on if it could have.

Exhaust Options

For me it's function over form, and most certainly noise, and the Akrapovič exhaust is the better option. Arrow also make several aftermarket full length options that you may want to consider and they will be cheaper than those from Akrapovič.

Akrapovič

If you weren't already aware the Akrapovič HP slip-on pictured above is only available from BMW Motorrad dealerships. The only differences between it and the titanium and carbon fibre versions shown on the Akrapovič website are the laser-etched logo on the side and the welded mounting point. The carbon fibre exhaust bracket is also required if you opted for the rear seat cowl option when you ordered your S1000RR.

Arrow Exhaust

I bought the Arrow slip-on as it was the only option available at the time when my S1000RR was delivered in March last year. I sold it due to the lack of a removable baffle and concerns about trackday noise testing.

my 2010 has akra system and long carbon can, done 3 track sessions at brands 98-99db measured with no baffle (I have one, but never needed it), my old gixxer 1000 k6 with akra can was also ok without baffle (but the Yoshi trioval twin outlet was 106db!)

Whatever can you use on the '15 will no doubt pass the noise test because of the butterfly valve at the back. I replaced the cats with straight through pipes and kept the valve for that reason. Track day at Brands 98 with AR

I wonder if there would be drive by noise problems? The Austin Racing cans are super loud on the Ducatis and Dave Mackay was getting pulled for drive by at Donnington last year with his BSB TriOptions bike.

I've not used my GP1 on a track day yet, while it is pretty close to std noise levels at lower revs I'd say its louder at higher revs, bananaman says he used one ok at Brands so no problem there. Donington's my local track and they are very hot on drive by sound, I would deffo fit the std can for a 98db track day there.

As rich from Austin racing told me 98db at 5500 rpm I've just tested mine . very pleased il do a ride by tomorrow at full chat Royal
