I trade regularly and like the format, have had little in the way of problems with the exception of some soft oxford luggage I bought off a girl about 8 years ago, it was in "immaculate condition".. it certainly wasn't immaculate, lots of stains and signs of fairly heavy use, the killer was the matted Animal hair embedded in the fabric and underneath the inner liners, it was sent back and refunded in full.

Today the Wurth Vice Grips advertised as "New" arrived, I paid ?24.00 inclusive... Can't say I'm happy with the description versus item received.. although they are in good order, in my book New means just that New (unused)..the question is what is your interpretation of New ?... I feel duped to a degree.. had I know they were used I certainly wouldn't have paid ?24.00 for them.

How would you view this ?

Yea, my thoughts exactly my proposal is thus..reply to my PMs no later than 5pm today, ?10.00 refund and I'll keep them with Positive FB for him....if an impasse is reached I'll ask EB to step in..

Think that's pretty reasonable.

if a case does get opened, dont close until it's fully resolved,it's a royal pain if you do and it doesn't go as agreed.

Agree with you. New is new and they defo aren?t. Piss taker in my view. Good shout with the comma and ?10 refund offer.

Those are misdescribed 'new' means unused, perhaps not in original packaging but unused.
Those are 'used' maybe 'good condition' but not new.
Discount sounds a good idea otherwise I'd return them.

i would go for discount myself and yes not as advertised but remember there only ?20'ish....lifes too short. :)

i only ever buy vise grip. :)

Good result Stuart. Yes, eBay can be good. I've mostly had no bother with eBay & buy a lot on there.
Once had expensive bit of secondhand equipment from USA seller that turned out to be non-functional. Seller went silent, but got full refund from eBay.

Another time with UK seller got scammed on car parts described as new and unused but that were clearly from a breaker. Seller gave no way to contact them, so left feedback of my experience: seller went abusive about the feedback, but said would refund if I returned the part. I made the mistake of not using registered post (it was a 15 quid part - so wanted to avoid spending 5 quid on registered post). Of course seller claimed it never arrived and I got no refund. Royal mail little help for lost packages that are not recorded delivery.

There are loads of conmen out there. I like this guy, he runs a wee business in New and S/H stuff, some of his videos are quite entertaining..Nic and Andrea Hills..

The monopoly board one is a cracker, the buyer was clearly thick as pig **** !..
