Can someone explain to me why the DTC indicator has all the bars showing. I switched the display on then went for a run, the display showed 2 bars indicating 10% when I was riding.
As I came into town the display then showed the full bars as shown in the pic. Does it reset/recalibrate?
Once the ignition was switched off it reset with no bars showing.
Am I reading this right? Confused!

From what the dealer told me when I picked mine up it is the amount of intervention that the traction control has performed.
So for the current trip, what percentage of power has the DTC system taken from you in order to keep you rubber side down.

Yes, when I had a "spirited" ride it was showing 2 bars which would be 10% intervention and the bars stayed at that during the ride.
When i was rolling through a 30 zone I glanced at the clocks and they showed the pic I took, this stayed on till ignition was switched off at home.
This would suggest a 100% intervention at a sedate speed and lean?

The DTC indicator goes up to 50%, so the bar going up all the way indicates that it has cut half the power.
It doesn't make sense though given where/how you were riding, unless you were getting your elbow down in a 30!

Bikes going in for its service next week so id like to know if this is another problem or im not grasping this correctly?
Stupid Limiter was cutting in as I was rolling it on out the corners and that only showed 2 bars on the DTC display so why it then showed this reading, I have no idea

Sorry yes 50% of power but full bars is what I meant by 100%

Hi, have turned all that of on mine. Get mine back from BM today and this time with the limiter of .

It was probably a blip on a bump or pothole/manhole etc around town. I wouldn't worry.

How will you tell how far to push the bike with the display switched off? I deliberately switched it on to see what sort, if any intervention the system would give me.
Ive never had traction so it was interesting to see that it was working and that I felt no difference with it working.
Obviously it's more track focused but I wanted an understanding of the bike and system before I take it there.

Thanks for the replies, just wanted to ask as I thought it might have been a problem with the system.

I've informed the dealer and they are getting back to me as it shouldn't give out these readings.
I will let you know what they say.

Track day at snett last tues and played with dtc in 'user', full power with max (+7) on dtc. Just leaning and no power as such the tc light would flash with very little response on the throttle, guess it was reading front/rear wheel dynamics on the lean so that could be yr answer? Backed it off 1 at a time (which can be done on the fly) and reached -4 which still bogged it down slightly on exit. I am impressed the way it works, very gradual, I expect to be prob -6 for more feel (on track). Didn't take any notice of the readings, forgot to !! Couldn't fault it and still more to understand yet :)

Thanks BM, this is all new to me so finding my feet.
Setting it on the fly? I have visions of you cranked over and adjusting the settings in slow motion just like the Matrix film when he dodges bullets. :applouse:

HAHA ! no, on the straight with the +/- switch. If I could get everyone in slow motion I might overtake a few more :)

Maybe it will be available on the 2017 update!!!

:) lol, what happened to the tow baz? when you came past I thought I was parked up :)
Think I found the reason for bogging down, had it in rain dtc, no wonder I was into minus lol doh...

I thought you were parked up too!!!
That's what you get for playing with 'user-mode'-I tend to leave it in Slick and -3 or -4 at the moment. The rest is too complicated for me!
