Did some one on here take their bike to dealers and dealer washed it with tfr?

Seems to remember a thread but can't find it

Thanks

Thanks guys, had my bike in at bmw dealer and they have washed it in what looks like traffic film remover, frame, engine casings mirrors etc all ruined

Thats not good. Who was it? Keep us posted on how you get on. I can't understand why a dealer would do something so stupid, it's not like you won't notice....

I'll give full details when it's sorted in case I go legal on them. Tried saying they only used water to wash it

So is BMW alloy really so fragile you can't use TFR ?
i have cleaned loads of jap bikes with TFR and never had a problem

my mate used tfr on his zrx1200 and it streaked all the frame, swingarm and engine casings. :(.... we keep well away from it on the bikes now and the last time a main dealer washed mine it was dirtier than when i took it in. looked like the throw a bucket of dirty water on it.

My local BMW dealer is good at washing my bikes, just crap at servicing them - heading elsewhere for the Sthou's spring service

Seems funny that these dealers are using TFR, if memory serves me correctly someone recently had a warranty issue regarding non BMW cleaners, Muc Off I believe. So it would appear you can't use a highly developed product for bikes but dealers can use something that's basically for cleaning HGV's and chassis's.

Guys TFR is a bit of a nightmare.. it does streak the frame I find... get it on and off as quick as you can... its amazing for cleaning shower/tiles etc lol
