Hi all, wanting to buy one, but not sure which one to get.... Basically, mines a 10plate and I don't want any warning lights/simbles on the dash. So do either throw up warning things? I'd really like the extreme but like I've said, don't want any problems.

These are for the older ones aren't they? Because I understand the new 2013 ones you can switch the warning lights off. If it is the older one I shall be ordering one in the new year.

Did you have to slice any wire on the extreme? Just been reading on here and someone put that there was a green and brown wire. Sounds like you may have to...

I think you may have to cut the wire to the OEM plate light to connect to the extreme LED one. Its easy though.

Hhhhmmmm.... Bet the instructions don't come for that part...

tbh honest fella if you are not that way minded when taking your bike apart then maybe you shouldn't do it! its really quite simple, even without instructions

Hahaha. I probably could do it. Just not too keen on cutting wires (like to be able to revert it back to standard). So think I'll stick with the d3 standard I think. Cheers guys.

Buy yourself a couple of posi taps. (search for then on eBay) much easier than splicing and neater. Also remember the green is the live wire!

Btw fitted an extreme a few weeks ago on a 2012. Bloody good kit, you won't be disappointed.

The d3 standard is very nice and not a difficult part to fit.

Good good. Going to be ordering one tomorrow.

Just ordered and paid for my standard d3 tail tidy. Cannot wait to get it installed when it arrives

i fitted an R&G tail tidy, on a 2010, all very simple. I did need to cut wires, but no great drama. I did pay a visit to Maplins, tho, they sell a black heat shrink insulation which really does tidy things up

Got a question again. Going to put my private plate on the bike I think, it's 6 characters long, now I've read that I can have a 7 x 6.5 plate with no boarder. Just wondering if there was a certain size you can't have with the D3 standard before I purchase a plate. Like is there a plate too small that won't fit on the tail tidy?
