Which ones don't involve me drilling the fairing...I want them on for the road and have heard they cause more damage on the track...is this true?

I went for the R&G Aero 'non-drill' bungs, don't know if there's any others on the market which fit in this way. I've also heard that the fairing bungs are more suited to a low speed off, at higher speeds they're more likely to dig in and flip the bike over, apparently. I dropped mine at about 5mph (don't laugh) while doing a U-turn, foot slipped and dropped it.. very embarrassing. The only parts which had any scuffs were the crash bung, GB pulse cover and R&G exhaust protector so was really glad I'd fitted them.

Hopefully not at all! Thank you...have put kevlar on the engine casings both sides, didn't know the chain guard existed and so the jury's still out on crash bungs!

What year is your bike?

I went with the LSL sliders and they performed flawlessly. Not sure they have a design out for the new model S Thou.

Ill give a vote to the R&G kit Ive crashed at Knockhill twice and the sliders and engine covers did there job well. After a little bit of work all was good on both occasions and this would not have been the case with out the protection. Both times it was low sides first one was not that slow but the bike did end up travelling a good distance in the gravel trap.

I've got R&G non drill bungs and will be fitting some GB racing covers after reading this thread, thanks all :)
