Oh well, this has turned into hardly any help (apart from kennybush answeres). Using copper grease does prolong the life of capable easily mechanical separation even in wet (the copper grease can be sealed within confinements of some assemblies).

I'll simply ask my engineer father!

I?ve asked myself this question of copper slip effecting the torque of a nut or bolt and conducted many experiments. In my experience goose fat or Waitrose lard has excellent lubrication properties but does not effect the torque loading of said bolt or nut.

Torque Settings

If you need to use Loctite etc on certain bolts it will be specified by BMW in the Service Manual along with a corresponding torque setting. I personally prefer to just stick with the OEM torques values and not bother worrying about it.
