Clutch Bite

Hello, is it possible to get the clutch bite a bit close ? I suffer with flexibility at times in my fingers and the bite seems right near the end on my bike, is there any way i can easily adjust it so its closer to the grips?

I'd love this too. As you say, it's right at the end of the lever travel (made even worse by my other bike being the complete opposite)

You can adjust the clutch bite using the adjuster on the end of the cable just before it goes into the lever assembly. Just make a note of its starting position and which way you are turning it. I would suggest no more than 180 degrees at a time.

Yes....its the same as adjusting ur brake levers on a bicycle!

Out of curiosity, what levers have you got on there? I'd like to adjust my clutch inwards slightly but can't make up my mind which ones to go for.

I would need to go and check but I think its the lower ring you adjust.

Those are just the stock Gen 4 levers. I quite like them actually, and unlike my Gen 1, they have span adjustment!

Dont think you will adjust the bite at the lever, it must have couple of mil free play or it will slip. Adjustable levers adjust the lever not the bite point.

This is my worry as that exact same issue happened on my old 675.

The benefit of the lever adjustment is that you can get the actual bite point in the right place for your hand.

I had the same problem when I first got my bike, having to ride the clutch a lot to get away without stalling. A small adjustment to the cable made a big difference. No longer do I fear stop start traffic!

I have a hpk clutch perch to fit, will get that on when I stop being lazy

So soofsayer do you just tighten/loosen the bottom one on this pic until its just right but not to much at a time?
