Evening.... Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good heavy duty gold chain ? This thing on my 2016 is *****.
Stretching like mad!
Thanks

Are you adjusting the chain correctly? Looking at my chain I'd have been tempted to tighten it up a bit until I got the ruler out and measured the slack, within what's recommended. Compared to my blade the chain is "loose" but that's the way it's supposed to be.

DID and RK make good chains. And JT chains are very good value for money, the top JT chain actually has a higher tensile strength than DID or RK

Just got the ek as mine was shocking on the 2014

Yes done it correctly and in no time it's stretched again...

In that case I'd go for a DID zvm-x all gold chain, hollow joining links so easy enough to do yourself.
Might just get one for myself while the sprockets are new.

525 pitch. Can't recall if '16 is 118 or 120 links. Should be able to search for that on here.

Chain Size

The standard OEM chain size for the 2015/16 model is 120 links / 525 pitch. You can't really go wrong with chains from any of the top brands like D.I.D, Renthal, Tsubaki to name but a few. Just pick whichever one suits your budget.

Re: Chain Size

Not really bothered about the cost as long as it's good Ryd1000RR ! Thanks

Chain

Quite frankly anything you fit will be an improvement over the OEM chain.

I agree ! It's rubbish... Class bike like that and they fit a dog **** chain lol

Just spoke to local dealer and he suggested this ! Did zvmx gold X ring... Any good ?
