I did bleed as per usual and the lever was hard no bubbles. I then did a bleed with gs911 and didn't notice any difference. I didn't take the bike out in between so it's all based on lever feeling and prev experience.

Do you mean changing discs or cleaning them? Why would you touch them?

I've no GS so didn't want to touch them if I needed it.

The discs can be scrubbed it scotchbright to remove old pad material especially if moving to a new type. Check the holes have no build up of pad material, 5mm drill bit will clean them out.
Don't think you have any float on those discs so you can't clean the bobbins found on semi/full float.

I just do brake cleaner on discs and caliper and wipe it with cloths.

Re: bleeding - if you just replacing old liquid for new - I would don't bother with abs pump and just bleed it old way. Just make sure you use extra amount to account for liquid in the pump.

Brake Bleeding

Just bleed the brakes in the normal way when replacing the fluid and you should be fine. I change my brake fluid often and have never used a GS-911.
