Bmw Carbon vs Aftermarket Carbon

Hello,
Im new to this site and new to the S1000RR, just picked up my red 2012 up last week and looking to get a few bits n bobs added to it!!
I'm been looking at some of the carbon from ilmberger and was wondering if its as good as or better than the OEM carbon?
All opinions appreciated...

Welcome. Ilmberger is good but BMW is better.

Everything on my bike is ilmberger mate. I've been to BMW dealers and seen their 'carbon' models side by side and I couldn't tell any difference.

go on ebay, search for a company called bs-motorparts, they were the cheapest ilmberger supplier I could find (and I shopped around a lot!)

I returned a lot of my Ilmberger stuff as the finish wasn't as expected, the BMW stuff is definitely better, but you pay for it.

It is but I want a lower fairing without the space for the CAT. I will buy CF if I have too but I'd prefer ABS plastic.

Pretty sure BMW don't but there are aftermarket ones. Sharkskinz from memory.
