Well I hate to say I told you so but I do recall a thread of you showing off your bike in a right state, I did tell you that running your bike into the ground like that and the general mistreatment of it would mean higher maintenance costs and shorter service intervals. Even in this thread you acknowledge the bikes poor durability yet you still let it go.

On another note I just paid 14k for a KTM and the GALFER discs are rusting before my very ******* eyes and i havent even been on the ******....Unbelievable.

I believe that, i have had the same, i sent em straight back for a refund - would dream of changing the Oro's to galfers on my S1.

I would concede your point, however I have treated all my previous bikes in exactly the same manor yet NEVER had this many problems especially the problems I'm having at this mileage. 10k and on 3rd set of caliper pistons?

3 ZX9's, VN900, Fireblade, VFR750, ER500, GPZ550 to name a few. All treated the same, all washed as infrequently as S1000.

I agree the way I treat my bikes could cause more problems but since treating all my bikes the same, from personal experience the Jap bikes must have a better build quality than de germans
