anyone disabled the exhaust valve @ end of the cat?

With a small narrow bladed flat head, ease it into the gap between the edge of the clip and the cover. Gentle prise it towards you and it will come out. Just think of the clip as a large flexible
Circlip and it will break free. Watch it if it pings across the garage! It definately helps to remove the slip-on can and cat cover (attached to the exhaust tightening ring) first.

I think I'll re-attach the cables. The noise improvement is minimal.
