If they are pointing to bike theft being a major contributor then the authorities need to do more to stop and punish the scrotes. Not just allow them to be on social media doing wheelies and wrecking bikes without any comeuppance.

M1000rr .. can’t get insurance because of the value being over £33k .. nightmare

Got a policy … from bikesure .. only broker willing to insure it … expensive .. but better than nothing .

You are legally required to have insurance. Yet insurers are not legally required to offer it, with a cap. Should be no more than 10% of the total value.

just renewed with Adrian Flux. £550 XS. Fully comp, leathers n lid, NCD protected, injury n death, legals, other bikes on TP covered, aaaaaannnnnd XS cover. £433. But I am an old giffer with a bank vault for a garage🤗

Problem is bikes over £30k single bike … anything under that’s seems to be ok and cheap enough

With all the scare stories this year I guess I should be grateful that my multi-bike premium (for 2 x RR, 1 x R) is only up 8% this year.... It's still £1100, so I'm not that happy... esp as I'm just back from collecting car from a major service, so £770 down for that....

My insurance, service and tyres whipped £2k out my bank in July. Insurance takes the piss.

My insurance on the m1000rr dropped by £100 this year. Was really worried that it was going to double this year after paying £1260 to insure my Ducati V4R

For some reason Japanese bikes are more expensive too. Has he got full no claims too?

Yes 5 years no claims bonus but he’s only 21 years old and only just passed his full A license.

Crazy he couldn’t get insurance for my mates 2002 R1 but got Insurance on a ZX10R which has an extra 50bhp !! Crazy world

However the zx10r does have traction control etc which the R1 hasn’t

Happy but confused - September is a trifecta of misery for me as everything gets renewed... however... car insurance down 21%. House insurance down 33%... which means those savings more than cover the increase in the bike premium...
