I was told when I picked it up unless I go for bmw unlock code and bmw akro then a full system will need tuning and if I tune it invalidates warranty. If I don't tune it invalidates warranty

But I also have a severe right veer. Which a exhaust helps. If he wants to ease the exhaust standpoint I'll ease the unfixable veer issue.

Iv first service this week. I got abit excited last weekend and I'm at 840miles

My 17 is also veering right....i've ridden the bike without the stock end can and it didn't make any difference :-/ ...this is curious as it seemed to make a difference on my 15?? The plot thickens!:worked_till_5am:

I find it best to keep both hands on the bars....or lean slightly to the left while riding along no handed with the cruise control on.... It really isn't an issue is it?

But I need both hands to drink my tea and eat my biscuit when passing through villages!

Interesting, do you mean alignment?

Yes, I have the lightechs, I just wonder if its all a well aligned as it could be...and if it's not I don't know what the potential outcomes are as I've not deliberately had one out of line before.

I also think that weight through the pegs is important. I tend to weight my right foot more than my left.

Whilst going round Jerez I became aware that I was weighting the outside peg at times which is just weird.

On the rear axle, it would make sense if the alignment was out to cause the rear to track slightly to one side. Did bmw change the swingarm on the 3rd gen bike, I think they did....

I thought they only changed the potentiometer pickup point. But then that was probably added with your HP4.
I think the change was just adding 2 links and pushing the axle further back.

Was it the pivot point that was changed then? Just trying to work out if it is alignment where to look..

'15 launch...
Code:
the chassis geometry and the rigidity balance of the frame, subframe (also 1.3 pounds lighter) and swingarm. Specifically, the frame sees a 0.5-degree reduction in rake and a 1.5mm decrease in trail. The swingarm pivot angle has also been lowered by 3mm. Furthermore, material was removed behind the frame?s pivot point for more favorable flex characteristics.

HP4 and gen 3 swingarms are identical. In fact,I am almost certain that all year swingarms are the same(bar the sensor mounting on hp4/gen3 and,of course,colour/finish).
Only pivot mountings changed.

Back to road spec! Needs a clean still...

Got my rear brake plunger, but not the Alpha spring yet. Peg still on order, at least its not too short.

Also got a RAM Mount X-Grip as my Ultimate Addons case is falling apart (both catches have failed from plastic fatigue).

I've got some damage to the paint on the tank, post Jerez. Helpfully BMW don't do a touch up pen at the moment. So I've ordered some vinyl wrap to see if I can cover it up in an aesthetically pleasing way.
