Rebuilding began...I decided to do some road miles and the Road Bike track days with bins etc
Had to rebuild the whole nose because one of the side plastic mounting tabs snapped last time I took her apart. I bought a complete nose off eBay about a year ago. I've now split it and put my Ilmberger intake and MRA screen.
Whilst the lights were being migrated I fitted Philips w5w led's (5000k colour). And some Philips 55w +150% main bulbs.
Also fitted some heavy bars ends on my clipons for some road comfort.
Reply from Alpha says to orient it per the picture due to 'springs'.
I don't get it, but I am also not inclined to argue, for the sake of undoing a couple of bolts.
It will look neater the right way round. It will also give me another chance to get the shifter arm in the right position. I moved the pegs up to try and weight them better on track but in light of putting it back on the road I will put them back down for comfort, thus the shifter needs to be moved.
Just a set of tyres to go...not sure what to go for. s22's as I run V02's on track or corsa 2's. The latter appeals most l...outside choices are Dunlop TT's and the new M9RR's
New for this season (fitted) is the carbon mudguard, repainted fuel tank (@Budgie), light bulbs, lohmann quickshifter and Oberon bar ends.
Still to do, I need to reset the clipon position, the brake lever hits the oem plastics before the 2D sensor runs out of lock and once I have tyres I need to test the QS.
as far as tyres go, I run S22's on the road and on "road bike only" track days - good enough for sub 1m 55s at Oulton. The front is a bit vague compared with the slicks I normally run but they are a good road / track option.
