I have this to try in future, strap didn't quite reach hence its not on today.
Got it from Simon at Powertech in the idea I wanted a can to pass in spa

Longer the can, the quieter it'll be. After that it's a conical internal perforated baffle, honeycomb end to baffle alla MotoGP, then the dreaded baffle which screws the power on my bike.

All ready for Jerez.

Recently changed the oil. Put in 10w40 as its running on track in the warm, Castrol Power 1.

I bought a BMW Filter and a HiFlo to compare. Decided to fit the BMW part.

Nothing of note on the sump plug, those bits are frickin tiny.

Oil out was dirty but free of bits.

Taking V02's again, brand new set fitted to the HP wheels. New 3LC rear with scrubbed front on the Titax blue wheels. Taking both sets of wheels as I'm not 100% sure the discs on the HP wheels were ok (free'd the bobbins off but have no opportunity to test). Taking the spare wheels and discs for an extra £10 is far cheaper than replacement discs.
Talking of brakes, fitted the Z04's for this trip too...

Swarf looks ok on that magnetic sump plug.. I done an oil change on my 10R rears ago and there was a pretty sizeable chunck of toothed gear attached to the magnet...

Those hex heads on the oil filters are excellent for removal...

Sourced from FB 2nd hand. If it works its a decent saving over new to make it man maths compliant.

Also moved the pegs and shifter higher and back to see how the different position would work for me.

Came back from Jerez with more brake dust than is healthy, everything down the clutch side was coated in orangy dust.

Looks like I have a binding/sticky brake pot...which is annoying as I have DLC coated ones from Alpha. Going to have to do a much better cleaning job :/

Nice! But are you sure it's not mounted upside down ?

I'd like some confirmation. Bought a Lohmann shifter second hand. I fitted it as it came, wrong way up at first till BBB corrected me. But now I looked again at the picture on the Alpha site and the picture of my install and I realise the electronic unit is upside down. The cable goes straight up on theirs but mine goes down and loops back. Also the label is facing the bike.

So I think it was assembled badly by the previous owner. Can someone confirm @scooby maybe?

I think I should pull it apart...

alpha Racing / Lohmann Quickshifter

The cable normally comes out of the top of the unit and routes upwards avoiding the front sprocket area. There is also alpha Racing or Lohmann branding on the quickshifter that faces outwards. The alpha Racing instructions are fairly good so if you follow those then you should be ok.
