Love these vids, just a bit time consuming lol Last crank I had reground and shells cost me 75 squid, wonder how much this one was ? :indecisiveness:

I've spent the last 12 hours trying to figure out why a similar sized caterpillar engine wont start without forcing the fuel into the engine with a 16 inch adjustable spanner!!!

Only a toy compared to a proper 2 stroke marine engine, where there is a ladder down into the crankcase under every piston!

Great video Stu!

I?ve actually been on a tour round a cruise ship engine room (a hundred years ago lol!), and the scale of these is enormous, there?s two engines from memory and each must have been the size of a small house!

Kenny.....Not taking away the expertise of those men but it must be easier to work on than a fiddly bike or car engine? You could hardly drop and lose a bolt the size of yr head lol

A lot easier to work on a big diesel than a bike engine apart from the hassle of needing cranes and chain blocks to lift any major components! But in saying that there is always 1 bolt that you cant reach or is seized solid
