520 Chain/Gearing

16/43 or 44 mean you don't need 6th. Less gear changes, less fatigue. Its also better for driving straight rather than skywards especially places like Portimao.

Having said that I am going back to 16/46/120 from 16/43/118 when i get a new chain.

Is 16-43/44 exclusively used with 118 chain?

Also, isn't 118 chain (and hence 16-43 setup) more prone to wheelies than 120?

Perfect wheel base is 604-8mm 43 with 120 would be much longer and less agile.

Everything is a compromise.

Mine doesn't wheelie as much as Baz's 16/46/120, according to him.

For gearing theory I find the https://www.gearingcommander.com/ site is great for choosing a sprocket combination that doesn?t change the chain length.

I will always gear to hit the rev limiter in 6th at the end of the longest straight on the track.
