So, just spoke to BMW and they have confirmed that the bike will be ready to collect next Wednesday from their Head Office in Thorne (Nr Doncaster)

Thats a 200 mile trip there from Surrey :) But will be 200 miles less that I need to do before getting the de-strictor removed....

I could have picked it up from Hampshire but that would have been another 3 weeks wait..... hell no !!!

If anyone in that area fancies meeting up, will be more than happy for chat over a brew or 2.... I will be with Helrazzer....

I wouldn't be hanging around South Yorkshire, get the bike and get yourself a route planned back down through Lincolnshire (anything east of the A1), great roads, and take time getting some miles on the new toy on the way back down south.

Totally agree, take the M180 from Thorne, come off at Brigg and head south, roads around Louth, Sleaford and Bourne fast and fun, aim to get back on the A1 at Peterborough

Will have to put the TomTom on TWISTY MODE and take the above mentioned roads :)

If i do nice roads, I will cover at least 300 miles by the time I get home ... would BMW take the de-stricter off early or does it have to be 600 miles?

According to the manual (they are great things, shame so many people don't seem to have received one with their bike), the running in service can be done between 500km and 1200km (310 - 745 miles)
