My 2016 s1000 with a Austin racing can with no baffel in passed no problem at croft today . Rich at Austin racing was true to his word assuring me this was the case . Pleasantly suprised:purplebananna:

No I got out quick but when I listen to the bike it sounds loud but if you hold revs at 5k noise drops just as rich told me warm bike up and roll throttle slowly up to rev range

Because you still have the flapper valve in, it will be closed around 5K therefore reducing the sound level, it's designed to do that to pass noise/emission levels.

I have heard of some circuits asking for the bike to be held at 10K for noise testing, no way would it pass in that case, I would be unhappy about holding my bike at 10K without any load though.

MSV will generally ask for 6000 at their tracks. 10k / 3/4max rpm is I think only enforced at one circuit.
