2012 Wheels

Does anyone know the weight of the standard 2012 model wheels? Still considering BST carbons but be useful to know the difference in weights.

If my memory is correct,BST front is 1.9kg lighter than std and BST rear is 1.5kg lighter than std.

Great, thanks baz, that's quite a difference then. Now I just need to decide if it's worth ?2.5k.

BST's seem to have a good resale value.

Do it - they're brilliant and easy to clean.
You will never justify the cost but it is your BMW S1000RR after all!

Hmm, the next question is going to be ceramic bearings or standard....

The standard BST bearings are actually pretty free-spinning,so they are obviously good quality.

I have them with standard bearings on my 2011, fantastic wheels, the weight saving in in the rim so the centrifugal force is a lot lower so the bike turns so easily, unless you're racing in gp's I suspect ceramic bearings are a con for road use, I doubt they'd anything to the wheel resale value either if you choose to sell them on
