So i just got in from a trip to Hilltop for a dyno remap.

What a difference! the guys there were great, the bike was running very, very lean after being de-cat'ed, but still put out 187bhp before the mapping.

half an hour later and it put out near perfect a/f ratio and 198.5bhp... (would have been over 200 if i had remembered to take the slick mode plug! :grumpy:) and a nicely smoothed out power curve.

They even tweaked my suspension for me after the test ride and have transformed the front end! (free of charge i might add)

Cant recommend these guys enough, theres even some bike porn to look at while yours cools down... 215bhp ceramic internaled s1000 and geoff's own 230bhp beast!

Awesome getting mine done next Saturday. What they do to suspension ? R you running standard ?

Well worth it mate. i said the front didnt feel right, but i know naff all about suspension. 2 minute ride and he adjusted the front preload and the front end is so much more planted now.:encouragement:

I had my s1000rr done at Hailltop early this year, best money I spent on the bike. Im taking my Hp4 once it has been run in, the difference in the smoothness of throttle control is the best thing.

Good stuff BigDave. I keep hearing good things about Hilltop, that means I'll be booking mine in too very soon too.
Did you have your DTC and anti-wheelie tweaked as well? Is the throttle a lot smoother now? And do you mind telling us how much it was? (PM me if you want to not go fully public)

£350 ish.

Some are charged £340 and some £360 from what i've heard, maybe depends on how much adjusting needs doing and if u want DTS adjusted.

Haha welcome to the club. The acceleration is just ridiculous and when the DTC cuts in its quiet and just feels like a slight pause in acceleration no stupid noises. wheelies are under much better control and so much smoother.

It is my second best upgrade so far the first being the BST wheels with ceramic bearings.

Well done, have you thought of going back for head work for the 225+rwhp, I am thinking about it once I get the suspension and brakes done. How much torque did you get? I got 89.6 ft lbs torque with 195 rwhp.

Vin-i-am - Geoff test rides the bike to check the new DTC settings if he feels the suspension is off he will adjust it for you. he's a great ladd.

Much better than a PCV!!

hmmm. I will find out in about 2 weeks. I have asked Geoff to sort my exhaust as it was well to loud for UK trackdays. So original headers back on the bike + he will graft part of exhaust, d-cat pipe will be removed and long can instead of short stubby AKRA. So lots of work to do but getting very excited. I will post the results :):)
and.... bazzaz will also be removed. At the moment got 188 BHP on the wheel. :p:):p:).

Ok so short update.
Just been on the phone with Geoff and I`m positively surprise :):). At the moment with AKRA headers, AKRA link pipe AKRA short stuby can + bazzaz 196 BHP. So to save me hassle with noise limits in UK decided to remove my short stuby can and stick to long pipe. :):)
More updates soon.......

Ok bike is back. Final result 202.2 BHP at the wheel and 90.36. :):)cheers
Somebody is inflating the dyno figures

Can you prove that Geoff is inflating the figures? (a couple of people asked the same question in another thread without a reply?) Mine was the lowest of the lot. Since then i have heard of lower figures. Do you have anything to support what you are saying - or is it just an opinion :wink-new:

Cheers

I looked at it this way he runs the bike on the dyne gives you what it is making, which was in line with most S1000rr, he then maps the bike on the same dyno, which gives more power and better torque not to mention fuelling that is better throttle response that is smoother, traction control that is far better than standard.
To me it was a no brainer over a PCV with custom map. At the end of the day he is showing an increase in the figures on the same dyno.

over 200 isn't hard.

A local tuner to me http://www.racedevelopments.co.uk/ has told me every S1 he's done has been around the 200 mark using the MoTec system. But he's not cheap.

a few bhp is also pointless to quabble over. Theres so many factors that can affect a Dyno Run that a margin of 4/5bhp is usual.

I've had 4 runs at same shop now, nothing changed on the bike between runs, but was curious to see if i'd get same result each time (plus he does it for nowt)

168
170
167
174

The only difference was the 174 was running on that Overly expensive 'Shell Nitro Power Plus Super' whereas other runs were using Tesco 99 Premium Unleaded

Yet to touch s1000 , but had 1200GSA stoked up. This was a big improvement. Not so impressed with result on 1400GTR.
