Hey all, annual service is due, it's been a sunny weekend/track toy, so is just coming up to 4000 miles. Any guide to what sort of prices I should pay? I did go for an extended BMW warranty, not sure BMW will do me any favours anyhow, but am somewhat skint so would like a decent job but...

My S1000RR is brilliant. Nothing's gone wrong, it has impressed, scared and tortured me equally over 18 months and 4000 miles of fun. Every ride is an event. Even thieves think it is brilliant, because they stole it. I got it back though, and it was still brilliant. In summary- brilliant. :D

I was black flagged on my '15 model with stock can at Snetterton in May. 106db! I'm doing the August day and will obviously be more confident/quicker, so having to throttle off just for noise limits is going to be really frustrating. Not completely against the idea of a replacement slip-on, but...

Just wondering- my 15 went in for it's first annual yesterday morning, and the tracker shows a 10 minute ride round the block at 4pm yesterday. Not had a call to say it's ready yet.

As the weather's getting shite, I'll be using the VFR more and setting up a decent solar charger on the bike safe (can't get power to the safe unfortunately). Does the 2015 RR already have a convenient plug somewhere to wire a charger in, or is it a case of DIY?

As the S1KRR's transmission seems a little bit lashy (assume given the bikes heritage, there's minimal cush rubbers), I find myself dipping the clutch slightly in traffic when on and off the throttle to smooth things out. I've noticed that when I throttle off, I can feel a little bit of clutch...

Bought some off eBay, but they stick out enough to foul the exhaust- does anyone know if the suspension travel is enough to allow that to happen?

Chaps, where's the best place to get parts in the UK? My secondhand pillion seat came without the lock housing ("52538549430", or part 2 on the page below). I can get the cylinder out of my seat cover but the whole housing is glued to it :(...

Anyone know if the old (up to 2014) seat will fit at all, or is it completely redesigned and incompatible? I'm finding conflicting information out there....
