    Remap question

As above, doing anything like this blind, without the feedback of the bike, wouldn't ever be as good as having it done dynamically on a dyno. I never got to ride my bike before it was flashed (at Hilltop) but, engine-wise, it does feel very good, no flat spots or poor response. Not sure about...

    Brembo bmc

I'd have a look at the whole system, check caliper seals, check pads not glazed over and make sure it's all clean. I use dual carbon pads on my track bike and they are excellent but the stock pads were also very, very good. The stock BMW brakes are the best standard set up I've used and not a...

    2015 s1000rr

Just found this which confirms the post by Budgie. I'm interested in the forged wheel supplement price too if anybody can confirm that? http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news-new-bikes/new-bmw-s1000rr-price-announced/26054.html

    Quickshift issue?

This is the reason I returned to road shift after trying race shift on 2 different track bikes. The 'down' action is the easy part, but I found exactly the same as you, that the up shift had me putting far too much thought and effort into trying to get sorted for the next corner, and some times...

    Understeering...man or machine

Maybe the best thing to do would be to get one of the suspension guys at a track day to set it up and advise on tyre pressures too as that's where you're finding the issues. '100% suspension' made a good difference to mine and 'Parkitt' have a good reputation too. Are you close to MCT in...

    Track bike questions

They're SBS dual carbon but even with the standard pads I thought the brakes were excellent.

    Track bike questions

To all those who were good enough to answer some of my earlier questions and those contemplating doing the same, here are a few of the things I've found with the bike on track so far. First time out was at Cadwell back in April, cold and windy April. Aren?t heated grips great? Compared to my...

What else do i need for a trackday???

No side stand is a pain. My last track bike had the stand removed and I actually found it worse at home if I wanted to move the bike around and either needed somebody there with me or had to put a second stand at the location the bike was going to. At the track you just need to get into a...

What else do i need for a trackday???

The things I'd find it hassle without would be: Good tyre pump and gauge Tyre pressure gauge Funnel or decanting jug for fuel Good length extension lead and multi adaptor Drinks and snacks Folding chair Visor cleaning kit and plenty of earplugs Spare bike key hidden away somewhere A big fat...

    de-cat

From Dano "If there would have been someone I could have sent my headers off to and got a complete system back, accurately welded together and aligned correctly, witht the option of long or short cans, knowing what I know now, I would have bitten your arm off!" Mark Hill (MHP exhausts) does...

    Van or Trailer?

My first few years of track days were with a trailer but it's much more convenient with a van . I've got a Trafic and it's great to drive and a great base for a track day and surprisingly comfortable to sleep in too. Driven to Le Mans from the North East and didn't have an ache, from it.

    Track bike questions

To those who know, would I be correct in assuming that any dash warning lights I may cause to come on by disconnecting lights, exhaust valve servo motors etc. can be turned off when the ECU is flashed, or do I need to find and fit resistors?

    Carbon frame protectors

Cheers, that sounds a much better option than silicone.

    Carbon frame protectors

I'm assuming you're fixing with silicone sealant? Anybody had to remove anything yet and deal with the silicone afterwards? I'm tempted to fit some but when it comes to sale time it may need to come off (I think if I were looking to buy a bike with frame covers on it I'd want to know if they...
