    Jorge Lorenzo 99 Retirement

Watched Free Practice on BT today and Suzi Perry interviewing Jorge along with the press announcement plus views of Neil Hodgson,Colin Edward's, Gavin Emmett and most insightful posting by Matt Oxley. My conclusion is that he had one big off to many and the Assen crash could have easily left...

    Gen 4 Recalls

For any of you with bikes on order . How about putting on hold delivery..payment until you see the new Fireblade! Rumours are all over the show on what the mighty Honda Corporation are about to release from underwhelming to a mighty v4 🤔. About time they rejoined the race.

    BSB & Tyco

Christian Iddon will be out of a job at the end of this season unless I am very much mistaken, he has had to many crashes , injuries and underperformed :culpability:

New 2019 BMW S1000RR: Rumour, Gossip and Intrigue...

Lovely looking bike BUT is it just me that thinks the bronze trellis under the seat should have been covered by extending the white tail unit with a little red and blue ?

    Changing tyres

I do the lot in regards to tyre changing, even do mates bikes , only last week did old Triumph with tubes:smug:! I have proper bead breaker and balancer along with the weights etc. Got compressor and use pucker tyre soap , there must be something wrong with me as I quite enjoy doing it...

    bleeding abs

I have done mine using a vacuum bleed system - no problem:biggrin-new: As for a bike shop not being able to do it They have no right to call themselves a bike shop in my opinion , they sound about as much use as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest !:woot:

    Replacement Battery normal or Lithium

Hi Guys Fancied a quick ride out on bike this afternoon and wouldn't start due to flat battery - Bugger!! The battery is only just over 12 months old, bike has alarm which I know drains the battery so I have it on trickle charge for most of the time. Have put battery on normal charger and when...

Oh the pure adrenaline fuelled fun! I'm too old now?

You have both got plenty of years biking ahead of you subject to health/skill and other road users. I can only look back at my mid fifties but still have my S1000rr along with a KTM 990Superduke and KTM exc300 (for green lane rides) . Still do odd track day and when all other crap in the world...

    Tyres tyres tyres

Just about to fit a pair of Ross 3's , chosen over m7rr's as they are newer design so may have moved things on a tab but who knows? Had Metzelers , Pirelli Corsa's , Conti Sport Attacks and despite using bike for road use only have not managed to get over 2,000 miles out of the rear. Must...

    Tyre fitting

If you have the right gear its not a problem. I've been doing it (changing tyres :stung:) for years. Bead breaker cost me ?40 ish , Use good quality tyre levers , rim protectors , and tyre soap (not washing up liquid) and balancer was made up by Fab Shop where I work. Tyre weights purchased from...

    Dynos

Correct me if I'm wrong but different Dyno machines come out with different numbers. The only way to tell if a modification has increased power output is to test in on the SAME dyno before and after. So to say my bike has more ponies than yours is only correct if tested together. :oilleak:

Make that three I even know what a three penny bit is! I have the Bursig lift and have found it to be well made easy to use and not to heavy ( or maybe I just don't know my own strength!) As I change my own tyres and with bike having covered 11,000 miles and new rear every 1,700 its getting...

    Rear wheel brake disc

Re: Rear Brake Disc Agree 100% at last MOT tester mentioned how poor it was! Has since bleed system so its a bit better but still shit! I also don't use it much thank God!

    New 2016 S1000rr or used HP4?

The thing I can't get my head around is what is special about the HP4? OK limited edition but there are far more of them about for sale than say the HP2. Current bike is as good if not better , if you added carbon to a new bike and had it painted blue/white who could tell difference (apart from...

    New Top Gear

Agree with all of the above - was on the way out before Clarkson picked on a small bloke! The schedule of being on a Sunday from 8.00 to 9.00 pm has one flaw it was about 55 minutes to long!! Evans made me cringe and the Reliant Robin portion of the show was so bad I had to switch channels!!

Which exhaust - AR GP ultimate or Arrow works titanium cap

I don't think that noise is a MOT failure- don't think its part of test , no reference to DB limits as far as I am aware and all the years I've been having various bikes mot tested have never mentioned noise and my Superduke with Akraprovic exhausts (without baffles) is well loud and its OK!

    S1000rr 2010

I recently removed cat and fitted Austin Racing link pipe and exhaust. Firstly didn't use an angle grinder to cut as risk of being on piss , Large jubilee clip around pipe (as guide) and use hacksaw. Follow instructions can't go wrong! Exhaust is the 200mm one with options of two different size...
