I've used Williams Bikes in Manchester for servicing and work on both my RR and my R, can't complain.

When my 2010RR had the problem last July I had to wait 3 weeks to get the bike back on the road due to the shortage of switchgear. Also, the recovery guy who attended said about 20% of the bikes he'd picked up over the summer had been BMWs with faulty switchgear....

Switchgear. Call your local bmw dealer and they should replace it FOC.

R&G also do stainless guards for a little extra cash.

Does it have a ABS sensor ring on the front or rear wheel? If not - no ABS.

They're taking the piss. I got ?7400 for my 2010 RR with 6500 miles on it last September against a S1000R Sport from Williams Bikes - some ?600 over the book price.

When I had my RR serviced earlier this year they did this.

Ran mine with the Akrapovic can & little clearance for well over 18 months with no issues, 160+mph a good few times as well so it got plenty hot.

Gilles FX get my vote. Had them on my RR, have a set on the R. On offer on ebay at the moment too through Calsport. Length is midway between short and long, just right if you ask me!

Contact your closest BMW dealer, they should replace them FOC really.

H2 is 238kg, they can keep that.

Was it Nathan you dealt with? I only ask as he was trying to sell me that bike at the end of August, but I went for the S1000R Sport instead from a more local dealer. Looks good, glad you're enjoying it.

Looks ok to me, can see they've used the R's tank surround at first glance. 15k plus with all the decent options?

First impressions....windblast not as bad as expected on the R, throttle is also very VERY light in action - much more so than the RR's was. Exhaust note is much better on the R, more warbling and rorty than the RR's. Pops and farts when you shut the throttle too, which is very nice bimbling...

Tomorrow will be my last day as an S1000RR owner....won't be going far though as I'll be collecting a new S1000R Sport after work! I've enjoyed my time on the S1KRR, am hoping that the S1KR proves to be just as enjoyable and I'll be sticking around here a while longer yet as it's a very nice...
