I was told this would be the case when I ordered mine few weeks ago. Its to make them euro 4 compliant etc. According to the dealer I purchased from. Tried to scare me saying the new one "may lack power" etc etc. But i wanted one now anyway

Good decision, I would without question do the same. As someone has already stated I would never chance a repair on a nigh on 200bhp bike...

Thanks lads! I read something somewhere about removing some of the washers from under the seat cowl to get a better fitment, anyone done this? Also what the hell do BMW use to lube the chain? The fling off of it is unreal, the inside of my rear wheel is plastered and its a nightmare to get...

Finally picked my new beast yesterday. Only done around a 100 miles on it so far with work and what not but...WOW! I knew this bike was ace when I test rode it a couple of months ago but I'm just amazed at how light it feels and how fast it is (even while running in!) It feels like my old 600...

So got a phonecall today saying my bike arrived at the dealership in the crate this morning and I can pick it up early next week! To say im excited is a massive understatement.

I live in flintshire and as soon as I pick my bike up end of July I'd be more than up for future ride-outs and meets!

Yeah that's an option but my part ex is still on finance. Anyway on a sidenote what tyres come standard with the new s1k. I was under the impression you got supercorsas but the 3 new bikes that he had in the showroom that were sold all jad bridgestone battlax's on them.

Oh and thanks for the heads up on other places I'll have a ring round tommorow. Only problem being I have a part ex and driving all over the country just to show them the condition of it etc is not my cup of tea. Hopefully I'll be the proud owner of an RR by the end of the month !
