I bought some cheap replacement footpegs for the standard rearsets; they were really good and much grippier than standard. Cost very little too. I still found that I needed more clearance, so I bought the HP Gilles rearsets later on...

I have one on the BMW, after using one for years on the gsxr racebike. Bloody brilliant, saves you dropping a hot sump plug in the container you're catching oil in, and the risk of cross threading the thread when re-installing. You need to buy a different cap if you want to lock wire however...

Yes, and because you aren't unscrewing the bleed nipple in the caliper body, air can't get back through the thread...

I have the bmw hp bleed valves (made by stahlbus, but cheaper through bmw). Work well. I like stahlbus stuff; all my bikes have their oil plug valves too.
