I used to do track days at Castle coombe on my 1000rr , It wouldnt pass with the stock pipe, so i put an Austin Racing silencer on it and it passed ! Their noise test is 3/4 throttle with the tester a meter away 105db limit. This set up gave 103db but make sure the bikes as hot as possible...

Back in 2011 When i replaced the K2 s on my first 1000rr i had to pay £400 all in for my K3s, Which shocked me ! (and the tyre dealer), But when i rang the BMW dealer to cross check was quoted £512 all in. So next time i went for conti s £225/£230 fitted. Price today for the contis £238 fitted.

I agree K3 are twice the price and half the Mileage and personally i cant tell any differance.

Like it ! Im 16 stone and 6ft, and it always makes me chuckle when 6ft , 10 stoners say its an uncomfortable. and 70-80 miles is enough, I find it one of the most comfortable sports bikes ive owned i did 975 miles to scotland and back about a month ago and no problems the following day !

Cheers Bob, My mate rides a Rc8r and we can both hold a tighter line on the ktm on B roads. I am a fair size old skin so it should be ok on roads i wonder if ohlins kit might be better ?
