Worn out Sprocket recommendations for new chain/sprockets

I wanted to keep the 525 chain and sprockets, as so many of my mates have had 520 chains snap causing differing degrees of damage.
I had trouble finding a selection of sizes in 525, so think I'll have to bite the bullet and go 520.

I think I got the most out of this one though not even been on a year and probably done no more than a dozen track days.
If it wasn't for a failed tyre warmer, and deciding not to go out and do a tyre change instead. I might not have noticed this before it bit me in the arse. When I took the sprocket carrier out it actually dug in my hand and hurt.

Which brand is the old one?

Talon-eng should have suitable 525's

Italian brand PBR. Bought from a dealer here (can't remember which one) said they sold them to race team.
I tried several places but couldn't get much other than stock sizes in 525.
Certainly wouldn't recommend PBR.

Buy good chains.

Top quality d.i.d or Rk

Tensile strength varys massively in chains.

That and not leaving them go slack

Chain & Sprockets

I?m currently using a D.I.D chain and alpha Racing sprockets. I?ve had absolutely no issues whatsoever and both chain and sprockets are available in 520 and 525 pitch.

Cheers all. Been into dealers today. As I'm probably going to chop it in I shall just fit standard I think.

I fitted OEM sprockets and an AFAM chain, haven't put many miles on it yet.
