Personally i think the Ring has become far too dangerous for bikes now - i used to go every year on the bikes up until around 6 years ago and decided to knock it on the head having seen far too many serious accidents and biker deaths - ive never thought it was a good idea to mix cars and bikes on such a formidable track - i did do a couple of dedicated bike track days there which was a much better situation to ride hard and fast in but even some of the road surfaces made it so hairy in places!! That said, i started taking my cars there after i stopped with the bikes and fell in love with it all over again, its definitely suited more to cars than bikes and you can take a lot more risks in a car, with a bike there is zero margin for error.
I love Donnington GP and Brands GP almost equally - but i can never get enough of Snetterton 300 and still get a huge smile power sliding around Gerrards at Mallory!! I did the new Silverstone Arena/GP layout last year on my Gixer and although i had a very fast low side at Village trying to keep up with The Stalker, running out of talent and seriously battering my pride, i did really really enjoy the fast circuit and want to go back this year and bury some demons!!

I've only done a couple of different circuits so would be either the 'Ring or Brands GP for me. :)

I've only ever done Mallory.

I'm insured with BMW which apparently covers me for BMW sponsored track days........ anybody know the dates/venues this year and if this still applies?

Really? I didnt know that - thats pretty cool if that is the case - how many track days in a year do BMW sponsor? Who are the track days through??

Out of interest, who was the organiser of the dedicated events?

I usually get myself on the Motorrad (German Bike Mag)2 day course's, great way to get plenty of very fast (safe) laps in without too much worry of fluids dropped from cars.
I missed last years events and will give it a miss this year too, I might have burnt myself out with far to many trips there over the last 12 years :pride: I think I just need one more trip to decide for good if 'im done with it'.
