Waterproofing Textiles

Has anyone tried Liquiproof? It was something I saw on Dragon's Den and was sold on the idea like one of the Dragons who put his money into the product.... however, the initial pitch always looks good, but when you come to use it, its crap..... I used NIKWAX Tech Wash and TX Direct the last time, but did not think too much of it.....

I've got a tangle tease brush from Dragons Den and StuartB has a Shewee, he swears by it.

As far as textiles go Immortal I have never reproofed any but I know a few guys who have used the NikWax stuff and have said it worked.

I have used Fabsil I got some in a spray can and waterproofed a jacket, it worked ok.

They do a brush on version as well

The main reason Gortex etc loses it's ability to repel water is getting dirty (the pores clog up) so applying stuff without first getting the suit clean is not going to give the best results.
