Under the seat there?s a wire with a ring terminal that?s not connected.
i traced it through the left side of the bike to a plug at the front as shown in the picture.
does anybody know what this could be for please

The plug shown with the blue and yellow wires?

The Alpha Racing 2D potentiometer plugs into a similar connector around that same area that has a blank black cap on it as fitted from the factory - the 2D potentiometer hardware is attached to the outside front left fork measuring the rise and fall of the fork leg and plugs into a very similar plug (you remove the blanking cap shown) going into the wiring loom and separates compression and rebound on the front forks fitted with DTC.

Fingers crossed that I am correct

the 2 empty plugs at the front end are for the 2d data trigger (either gps or i/r) and the 2d suspension pot.the pot doesn't have a ring connector, cant rememebr about the lap timer without lookign art my bike

So to be clear the black wire I?m holding on my finger comes from under the seat and has a ring terminal on the underseat end.
it connects into the white male plug, this connects into the black male plug
