I'm not discounting all of the other info, and appreciate that not everyone is equally fortunate to have what they want and obviously budget is a key element. I don't want to come across as a spoilt kid.
When buying warmers ensure the wire wraps down the edge of the warmer to give heat to the tyre wall which is most important.
Use tyre socks on cold days and first heat cycle.
The key is to get the wheel rim warm, the tyre surface is not the problem, it's consistent pressure and carcass temp.
The heat in the air inside the tyre is lost to the metal rim not the the atmosphere.

Also when I said about the heating quickly, that is when I'm heating fresh rubber in a rush because I've been caught out for 1 reason or another. That's not my normal routine, but I have that option on the back burner.
I use these for urgent heating.

Use the suprema vision, to fully thermostatically control, which I completely understand is not realistic or required for normal folk.
