Going to buy a torque wrench looking at a
Teng 5/25 nm one but it’s for 25 / nm like sump plug
Would it be better getting a 10 /60 nm one as not
Maxing out at 25 or is it not that important
Cheers

It depends on what you will be using it for. I have 3 ranging from 4nm to 150nm and use all of them on my bike. If you want to remove both wheels then you’ll need 10nm to 130nm to correctly torque all of the bolts involved. Like all tools/measuring instruments, torque wrenches are most accurate in the middle of their ranges. I would be reluctant to use one that can go to 150nm to put 19nm of torque on a front axle pinch bolt, and I have yet to see one that can torque up the rear axle bolt and cover anything much lower than 30nm safely. Clutch and stator casing bolts require less than 10nm.

Just checked the one I have got it’s 30to 200 nm
For brake callipers bolts and bigger torque needs
Looking for one to cover lower n/ m 10 to 25 nm but like you said
It’s more accurate in the middle range so 10 to 60 nm seems. Better optoin
Thanks for you help

Norbar is my recommendation for value/quality. You need 3 or 4 really. i have 2-350Nm of range on mine. I use my 2-20Nm the most (as 13-15Nm seems to be a popular value for casing bolts etc). Followed by the 20-100.

For lower torque values, I purchased a Halfords bicycle wrench.
