If your using any clip ons should you want the ones that clamp to the bar and not the fork ones. I have clip ons fitted which sit under oem top yolk.
I wouldn't think you'd want anything fitted lower on the fork.

Looking at that picture it's not the oem top yolk so not a problem but if your using standard then I can see it would be.

Before you can fit conventional clip-ons on the Gen 4 you need to buy a set fork clamps for the upper OEM yoke. These are available from both BMW and alpha Racing (see link below).

These are the clip-ons I bought from alpha Racing along with levers, remote brake adjuster and lever guard.

Yes I have the clamps for the oem yoke. But you cant sit the clip ons high up on the fork like in the picture posted. The clip ons are lower which will make the fork clamp thumb brake too low.

alpha Racing Thumb Brake Kit

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I will have enough space so I can just mount it to the clip-on.

Looks fine in the picture. Its mounted in the picture under the Alpha clipons which are below the t-clamp.

alpha Racing Thumb Brake Kit

I guess we?ll find out one way or another when the kit arrives and I get a chance to fit it to the bike.

I'll take a pick later. I might be talking b@ll@cks but remember when I fitted mine noticed how low they were. Also I fitted pp tuning that have adjustable angles, but they are next to useless because a, they are already low and adjustment is restricted and b, where the oem rocker switch on left bar has a locating screw it means its effectively fixed in that position, you'd have to drill this again.
