afternoon guys, Unfortunately i dont have a garage to keep my bike in at the moment so having to make do with waterproof covers (not that waterproof). It absolutely hammered it down last night and my bike got soaked, went to start it this morning and it struggled with cutting out whilst i had the starter pressed in it kept cutting off. Pushed it on and off a few times and it started (definitely electrical) could it be the switchgear or something else maybe?

It is likely switchgear, the opposing position of the starter switch is the kill switch.

I happen to have a large Oxford Rainex cover spare if you wanted to buy something that keeps the weather off the bike.
