Speed Cameras Not Operative

Just came across this article on the bbc website.

Synopsis is that a number of regions have turned all their fixed speed cameras off.

Half of UK road speed cameras are switched off

Dont know if I would risk finding out which ones are on, but at least it takes the pressure off scanning for these things instead of looking for actual road hazards.

Fixed speed cameras in Cleveland, Durham, North Yorkshire and Northamptonshire are all inactive.

Essex I doubt will never switch the camera's off.. We have far too many including average speed camera's which were only put in place because of boy (car) racers killing themselves on staright dual carraigeways!!
