Late december 24 I picked up a somewhat neglected 1 owner 2019 S1000RR m-sport.

5800km
Tall windscreen
TFT protector
M spools, axle sliders, carbon chain guard and levers
R&G sliders all over
R&R axle blocks (will replace)

This was the state of it after pickup, previous owner once never washed it properly.

Both front calipers leaking

This is the amount of aftermarked alarms, chargers, mobile holders and other crap I removed

After removing the sliders from the fuel tank it was obvious the guy that put them on really wanted them to stay on.
Hardest glue to remove I've ever come across, fishing line made scratches and no solvent would work.

I sent the tank off to get repaired. Full respray and here is the result.

I bought a tail cover that I also had painted while the guy was at it.

Wheels cleaned up nicely. Original tires still on. I think I'm the first to remove the wheels off this 6 year old bike, crazy.

I got it clean eventually

After a 12h round trip on snowy roads my first visit to a dealer is done. The bike now has:
- Nissin front brake calipers and pads
- Oil filter recall
- Cooler fitting recall
- Cam chain tentioner recall

Fits in a Peugeot Partner with no room to spare.

I'm assuming the price paid reflected the easily rectified neglect, so what's the issue?

That`s the RDC module, located on the rear of the bike near the shock.

From RS2E:
Race RDC
  • Lowering minimum pressure warning for use of slick tire pressures
  • Deactivation of the calculated tire pressure correction on cold tires (real pressure is displayed)

And the throttle goes in for modification to make it 58 instead of 68 degrees from closed to fully open. It`s a bit of a gamble if I like it or not as I havent ridden the bike, but the same goes for all the modifications.

The throttle reduction is nice, helps you get to WOT faster. Still progressive enough.
Not had any issues with the TPMS but I can turn off the warnings on my '23 through the menu.

Sure @TheGodfather we believe you :)
