My bike has gone in for a service at my dealer and they have rang me to ask if I want them to adjust and lube the chain up...as an extra cost? Surely this would be included in the service price?!
It's a 2011 gen 1 on 11k miles, having oil, filter, air filter & brake fluid changed if that makes any difference?!

I believe its just 'checking' the chain adjustment that is included.

If you have stands and a torque wrench for the axle nut I'd do it yourself and save the money.

i specifically tell them not to touch mine. I use dry wax lube and there only spray loads of crap on it.lol

Cheeky feckers
They charge a bomb in the first place
Least they could do is look after a loyal customer
Mate do it urself

Yeah I'm more than happy and capable to do it myself but but just seems mad that such an important part of the bike isn't included in a service price!

Yeah I know, ?290 for the service! Their prices on tyres aren't 'too' bad though all things considered.

Same here too.

I do my own chain servicing and they have a note on my service not to touch the chain, unfortunately this service just gone it returned to me with their gunk on the chain, wheel and swing arm . :calm:
